"I moved to Hovingham in 1994 and we were told where to get our eggs from so we bought from Johnstones whom I thought just sold a few eggs. I am a chef, and the quality was the best I have come across in my 35 year career. Then in 2008, paul visited me at the hotel I was working in to try and get me to buy his eggs, so when I realised who and where he was from I could not say no, as the quality of his eggs are second to none. For the next 3 years, I won many food awards using eggs where I could, customers at the hotel bought about 60 eggs per week as they agreed about the quality.
I now run the catering department at a local private school and the first thing I did was ring Paul to supply me. My eldest son is also a chef winning 3 AA Rosettes for his food. He always takes some home with him as he can't buy better, so I have raised 4 sons on Johnson's eggs even my 10 and 8 year olds know a Johnston's egg!

"Since eating a Terrington egg at the Worsey Arms Hotel Hovingham. There is nothing that compares with the freshness, quality and flavour. We are recent visitors to "God's own Country" the first in was 2014
Since which time each subsequent visit has resulted in a trip to Johnsons of Terrington to buy eggs to take home. This time we've travelled from Boroughbridge approximately 25 miles away. After four weeks the eggs remain fresher than any I can purchase at home. Today we met the farmer for the first time, he was somewhat surprised as to the extent of our passion for his product. We too were pleased to know that his pride in his product included growing the feed to ensure quality and consistency.
I cannot understand how anyone can rate this product one star. This shows a lack of integrity when the rating isn't justified or qualified with an objective comment.
